Type as a visual language is explored in the lengthy process of creating a book, website, or motion graphic. I became experienced in selecting typefaces, spacing, and layout to enhance legibility and aesthetic appeal along with learning how to balance form and function. Creating covers, home pages, engaging animations, and experimenting with grids and hierarchies across all media are necessary steps that I took to create designs that are cohesive and appealing. Combining artistic expression with technological precision taught me practical methods for bringing my story to life. To select my topic for this project, I started with the word illusion and went down the rabbit hole of words to create a book about psychedelics and how they alter reality and the mind. The target audience for this project includes adults who are interested in psychedelics, scientists, spiritual seekers, and experienced users. After writing the book, I used the content to build a website that was inspired by it. I then made a brief motion graphic to give visitors a more captivating image.
